Alexander Holt

Head of Emerging Opportunities and Partnerships - Scottish Government

Alexander has worked in the Digital Directorate of the Scottish Government since 2014. His current role is as Head of Emerging Opportunities and Partnerships – exploring new ways of working for government. He set up the CivTech® Programme in 2016, for which he won the Scottish Public Service Leadership Award in 2017, his team won Scottish Public Sector ICT Team of the Year in 2018, and has been shortlisted for numerous other awards including the UK Civil Service Award for Innovation. In 2020 he was named as one of the Top 20 Global GovTech Leaders through his work of the CivTech Alliance – a global group of GovTech and Civic Tech organisations.
